Pat Tillman

We all know the story of Pat Tillman. It is very difficult for me as I write this, because it moves me to tears. I remember how the events of 9/11 inspired a lot of people to the military.

Pat Tillman was in the NFL enjoying a stellar career. He gave up a multi-million dollar contract, for a contract with the Army Rangers and an M-16. Before leaving he wouldn’t give the Press interviews, because he didn’t want to be treated any differently than anyone else who served.

When it was announced that Pat Tillman had been killed in Afghanistan, our nation wept. There has never been a more inspiring or heroic story. It is a model of Patriotism that we can all look to, but most of few of us can comprehend such bravery.

Soldiers like Pat Tillman give us our inspiration, and our freedom. We will always remember him, and the honor with which he served our country, and for which he gave his life.
