Approximately 50% of the electorate doesn’t vote. Of the half
that does, independent registration is approaching 40%. This translates
to about 70% of the electorate expressing a strong discontent with the
two party system and the trend of our country over the past few decades.
Our mission is to seek and effect improvement so that our Government
runs smarter and more efficiently, and represents our middle class interests
and not the special interests. If you are one of the disaffected, then
this is a place where you can gather to voice your opinions, and eventually
be heard if we succeed.
This was the greatest nation on Earth, and it is slipping before our
eyes. It’s time to take the country back for the kids, and leave
them a meaningful and beautiful place. A place filled with dreams that
can be realized with hard work and sweat, instead of cunning and greed.
So, if you’re an older American, and want to leave this land better
than you found it…then get on board. If you’re a young person,
jump on board, because this is about you and your country, Get your disaffected
friends here and rally around a cause worth working for. Login, create
a profile, become a guest blogger…but get involved.
This site offers real solutions and programs…not
complaints and empty rhetoric. The solutions are common sense and will
work. When your Government runs like a profitable business, and truly
represents the people who elect it…then out nation will be on track
to returning to its greatness.
There is strength in numbers, so we need to build strength. I’ll
keep you updated on the progress or lack of it. If we succeed in building
the numbers we need, then we can rally around our cause. We can hopefully
get some high profile people to join us and guest blog. Everything will
build from there. You’ll see it happen. We may become the only Lobby
these Representatives are concerned with. That’s how the Constitution
says it should be!
So plan ‘A’ is to build numbers that will give us influence,
and then present ourselves as a lobby that supercedes the special interests.
We have something a lot better than money to show the politicians…VOTES!
We can build the power to vote them in or out if based on they’re
response or lack of it to us. Initially we will try to work within the
framework of the broken two party system and help our Representatives
fix it.
The phone number on the home page will get you connected to your State
Senators, and Congressional Representatives. As we rally around an issue,
if you are willing to call or email your Representatives, things will
begin to change! The first issue we pick will be one that we all vote
on. This is site is a Democracy, so it may not be the issue that I am
most passionate about. It will be your decision. A few minutes of your
time lifting something no heavier than a phone, or sending an email can
change our country. Lobbyists and special interests will be rendered ineffective
and powerless. Their money cannot buy us or sway us, and we control the
vote! As we grow, I will provide a list of your Senators and Congressmen
and their email addresses. You will be able to call them directly at the
Capitol number or email them.
This plan actually did work as I say in one of the articles. When the
Senate tried to ram comprehensive immigration down out throats for the
third time. They backed off fast when so many constituents called that
the Senate phone system went down for hours. They got the message!
If in any event, if our initial plan doesn’t succeed, then we
can explore other political options such as a third party. Let’s
hope it won’t come to that.
Based on events, and where we are at the time we can pick one central
issue and begin to effect change around that issue. We can’t try
to accomplish everything at once, but seeing one major thing change is
a good beginning, and the first step in a long journey. However, if we
succeed with the first we’re on the way and the finish line will
be there!
