Martin Luther King

In thirty-nine short years, Martin Luther King left an imprint on our country that has positive impact on our lives every day. Our society has progressed because of Dr. King, and it has enjoyed and benefited tremendously from the contributions of countless numbers of African Americans.

With “I have a Dream”, Dr. King delivered one of the most moving speeches in American history. It is no less inspiring today then it was when he delivered it.

MLK was willing to lead by example, and sacrificed himself to jail, beatings, and a lot of strife in order to create the movement that brought changes in our laws and society. His dream is so much closer to reality today, and although we have a way to go, we have also come a long way.
