Although the Republicans
are more closely aligned with banks, insurance companies, HMO’s,
pharmaceutical companies, and oil companies, both political parties take
money from Corporate America. Big business plays it safe by playing both
sides. It’s an insurance policy for them.
As the Republicans
have moved toward representing the very wealthy, and elites, conversely
the democrats have moved more towards the poor, minorities, and gays.
It also appears that both parties have allowed the extreme factions to
take control.
The Democrats pander
to the extreme left, while the Republicans pander to the extreme right.
This leaves a gaping hole in the middle both financially, and politically,
where we believe most people are.
Although we have absolutely
nothing against everyone being represented, it seems incredible that the
largest block of our population is not represented. The results of this
skewed representation over the last few decades has been the erosion of
the middle class. If you’re African American, Latino, or wealthy,
you are very welcome to join us in a quest to expand and grow the middle
class.
Our middle class is
shrinking and being squeezed from every end. This situation is unacceptable,
and we are here to make sure that these two parties fulfill their obligations
to all citizens, and restore programs that help build the middle class,
and bring people from lower incomes into it. A growing and flourishing
middle class is good for America!
